CF strives to advance the applications of carbon fiber. From wallets and drones to medical devices and full car builds, CF is ready to help with your next project, product, or brain child!
No matter the quantity or size, CF can handle the job. From SEMA quality custom builds to 1,000 unit production runs, we have done it all. Our 20,000 sq ft facility is well equipped to meet your needs.
CF has in-house engineers, with disciplines ranging from Material Science to Aerospace. We are capable of handling projects in any stage of development.
Engineering rates start at $195 per hour.
From simple splash molds off of existing parts, to fully fabricated fiberglass or metal molds we can provide the right tooling for your job.
Tooling costs range from $200 to $500 per sq ft.
Developing a new product? We can turn around a prototype carbon fiber part in a week using temporary tooling and our creative manufacturing methods. Let us help you iterate quickly!
Prototyping costs range from $95 to $195 per hour. 30% rush fees are applied for work required within 2 weeks. Projects needed within one week are possible for an additional fee.
Autoclaves and metal molds are expensive! We help our customers save money by building parts using the Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding (VARTM) process. This method can achieve similar physical properties of autoclave parts at a fraction the cost.
CF has developed an out-of-autoclave process for making pre-preg components inexpensively and reliably without the need for expensive equipment. With a 14ft x 6ft x 6ft oven, no part is too large.
Carbon fiber is very strong, but it too can break. CF is proud to be the Pacific Northwest’s go-to repair shop for everything carbon fiber. From bikes to race cars, we can get you fixed up and back on the road in no time!
We are no longer offering overlay or carbon fiber wrapping services. Feel free to reach out to us as there may be other options for producing your part in carbon fiber.
Finishing carbon fiber is more of an art than a science. Common Fibers has perfected the craft over the past six years, creating UV stable, high-gloss finishes that last.
