Common Fibers built a six-part custom carbon fiber accessories kit for a local individual's Ford F150. All components were splash molded and painting with matte automotive clear coat. Parts included front grill, rear bumper trim kit, and emblems.
Common Fibers was selected to re-build Oklahoma State University beloved mascot Pistol Pete. The originals were built by Disney in the 1960's out of fiberglass and weighed in at over 50lbs. Once finished the new carbon fiber Pistol Pete weighed 25lbs.
This project tested the limits of how quickly cosmetic structural parts could be produced. With innovative prototyping capabilities Common Fibers was able to deliver. It took 4 days to go from design to completed parts.
This BMW E30 body kits is one of the largest assemblies Common Fibers has fabricated. In total, over 20 molds were created to make a 12 piece custom body kit. The original design was created by Kyza, a graphic designer at EA Games. This car came to life and was featured in the Toyo Tires booth at SEMA 2018.
This custom spoiler was designed and built for Petty's Garage Mustang shop. Owned by Richard Petty, they know how to go fast and they needed some carbon fiber down force to keep their wheels on the ground!
Dusty Strings, one of the world's premier string instrument manufacturers, conceptualized this carbon fiber harp case to address the challenge of regular travel with a heavy instrument (and an equally heavy case) in tow. Common Fibers' engineering and lay-up team went through extensive testing and process innovation to develop a case that can withstand even the rigors of air travel.
This is a custom hood for a drag racing 69 Mustang. The original hood was made from fiberglass and kept breaking because they were going too fast… What better option than to convert it over to carbon fiber at half the weight!
These are just a few of the CNC cut parts CF produces on a weekly basis. We can cut carbon fiber shapes from panels ranging from 0.5 mm to 10 mm thick. Our maximum part size is 30″ x 30″. With a high precision CNC we are ready to help on any project, big or small. For this particular customer, we produce prototype iterations with quick turnarounds.
This isn’t your average PC. You might expect someone making a carbon fiber PC case to be a gamer with the coolest setup. Think again. This computer is a workhorse with some truly killer internals! The gold woven Mylar was the cherry on top!
